Key West and San Berdoo return to the playoffs and Quahog won their division for the first time. All three teams will attempt to keep St. Cloud from winning the first two league championships.

Quahog is a new entrant to the playoff round, moving up from a 2nd place finish in 2007. But the race this season wasn't even close - they were 21 games ahead. San Berdoo had the only close race this year. Last year, they beat out Santa Ana by one game. In 2008, 150 games was not enough and they needed an extra playoff game to get rid of Santa Ana (after catching them from behind).
