The 2011 Benchwarmer Bash
Federation Championships - Rogers Hornsby Federation
In 2009 we changed the annual Benchwarmer Bash to start off with
Federation Championships. The 26
leagues are divided into 8 Federations (see the breakdown on the
Leagues page). Half
of the
Federations currently have four leagues - and four teams advance to the Federation
Championships. The league champions automatically qualify, plus
the non-championship teams with the highest
power index values
within the federation becomes a wild card in Federations where there
are only three leagues.
Teams are seeded based on their federation power index. However,
wild card teams are seeded at the bottom in all rounds.
Seeding - Federation Championship:
- Batman Champion: Detroit - Power Index: 4
- Bleed Dodger Blue Champion: Team Japan - Power Index: 5
- Blue and Gray Champion: Atlantis - Power Index: 10
- Wild Card: Detroit (Blue and Gray) - Power Index: 1
