Benchwarmer Championships
Nokomis is the only winner of both the McGuire Division and Ruth
Conference. Last season they capped it off with a league title.
Aaron Conference: Mudville (87-63) vs. Buffalo (100-50)
Buffalo made it look easy, streaking out to a league-best 100 wins
and a 20-game win over nearest rival and last year's champ Trinidad.
They made the playoffs by winning the Robinson Division in 2005, when
the franchise was known as Smoky Mountains. Over in the Mays
Division, 2-time winner Rainy City (and 2-time conference champ) fell
off to 4th place. Mudville took up the slack - improving on last
season's 2nd place finsih.

Ruth Conference: Nokomis (82-68) vs. Gettysburg (83-67)
Gettysburg won 70 games in 2005, 74 last season, and upped the
total to 83 this year - moving up from 2nd place to take the division
crown in the first season that South Hill did not finish on top.
Over on the other side, though, Nokomis makes it 3 in a row to win the
McGuire Division and they'll try to stay as the only Ruth Conference
Champion ever and repeat as league champion. For most of the
season, they were locked in a duel with Uptown, but they pulled away
at the end (and the Slackers fell to 3rd).

Nokomis Wins in 7 Games
BWB CHAMPIONSHIP : Nokomis vs. Mudville
Nokomis dropped the first two games against Gettysburg, but came
back to win their third straight Ruth Conference title and try to make
it back-to-back league championships. Miudville came in as the
top rated team in the league in Power Index, but with 13 fewer wins
than Buffalo. 6 games later, Mudville was the Aaron Conference
champion.
