Second-Place Showdown
In honor of the 43rd President of the United States (heh, heh, heh),
The Al Gore Cup is a forum for teams that finished second and most
likely feel that they're more deserving than all of the other
first-place teams to be in the championship bracket.
Teams are seeded 1-4 based on regular season records and play a
best-of-seven semifinal round followed by another seven game series to
crown the winner.
The winner receives a bonus of 1 million Benchwarmer Bucks.
The runner-up gets 500,000.

The 2006 Entrants (in order of seeding):
- Dawns (100-50) - 2005 runner up - perhaps an even
more disheartening 2nd place this year - winning 100 games but still
finishing 2nd in the Sutton Division. League Power Index: 3
- Wayne (92-58) - Tight race all season in the
Seaver. Power Index: 4
- Fort Marquis (89-62) - Clawed to a first-place
tie in the Blyleven, but lost the playoff to South Philly.
Power Index: 6
- Napoleon (70-80) - Division champ in 2005 - fell
off this season. Power Index: 8
Semifinals - Napoleon wins in 6 games, Fort Marquis wins in 7.
Finals - Napoleon vs. Fort Marquis. Napoleon took the season
series 4-2.
