2013 Tiebreakers

In some cases, we need to break ties other than those at the top of the division. We need to determine 2nd-4th place in each division - which goes toward awarding BWB Bucks and possibly determining in which post-season tournament teams compete. See the BWB Rules for full tiebreaking criteria.

Additionally, there are seeding/home-field ties that need to be resolved.

Division Ties

Beer League

Water Division - Elsinore gets 3rd place over Landshark based on a better division record (27-27 vs 23-31). They split 9-9 in their season series.

Blue and Gray League

Lee Division - Atlantis gets 3rd place over Cincinnati with a win in the season series 11-7.

Deuces Wild League

Cobb Division - Foggy Bottom won the season series 11-7 so they get 2nd Place and a Gore Cup spot and Rock Ridge is 3rd.

Experts League

Print Division - Colter's had a 10-8 record in head-to-head games vs North America, and gets the 2nd place slot - and a Gore Cup berth - as a result.

Fenway Fenatics

Cronin Division - Green won the season series 10-8 so they get 3rd Place and Cincinnati is 4th.

Four Star League

Eisenhower Division - Savin Hill had the 10-8 edge in the season series over Philadelphia, so they get 2nd Place and a spot in the Gore Cup.

Hall of Fame League

Wagner Division - New Fairfield is the 3rd Place team over Cincinnati because they took the season series 14-4.

Ruth Division - Oakland Athletic is the 2nd Place team and gets into the Gore Cup over Copenhagen due to winning the season series 10-8.

Motor City League

Newhowser Division - Kid Rock, ends up with 3rd place over Lake Michigan with better division record (21-33 vs 18-36). They split 9-9 in their season series.

Shadowball League

Birmingham Black Barons Division - Bedrock gets 3rd Place and Thermonuclear since Bedrock won the season series 10-8.

Superman League

George Reeves Division - Atchafalaya and Hollywood are tied and split 9-9 in head-to-head, Atchafalaya gets 3rd place with the better division record (25-29 vs 23-31).

The Kings of Queens

Koosman Division - Nevada is in 2nd Place and into the Gore Cup over Kansas. They won the season series 10-8.

Batman League

Bottom Feeder - Louisville is seeded 5th over Purple on the strength of a 5-1 edge in the season series

Beatleball

Martin Conference Finals - Margaritaville won the season series 7-5 over Underground, so they get home field advantage.

Beer League

Bottom Feeder - Sam Adams is seeded 3rd over Louisville because they won the season series 5-1

Blame Canada League

Bottom Feeder - Quebec is seeded 6th over Royal Canadian with a better head-to-head record: 7-5

Bleed Dodger Blue League

Bottom Feeder - Magdalena is the 3rd seed over Los Angeles based on the better division record (25-29 vs 20-34). They split their head-to-head series 3-3

Bronx Bombers League

Bottom Feeder - Cincinnati is seeded 4th over KC because they won the season series 6-0

Chevy Chase League

Gore Cup - Gashouse gets the #2 seed over Orange based on the better division record (29-25 vs 24-30). They split their head-to-head tilts 3-3

Bottom Feeder - East Village is seeded 3rd over San Berdoo because they won the season series 7-5

Bottom Feeder - Forest City won the season series 5-1, so they get the 5th seed over NJ

Commissioners League

Gore Cup - There's a three-way tie at the top for teams with 79 wins. Midwest has the best division record at 35-19, so it gets the top seed (Strike 31-23 and Budapest 25-29). In head-to-head meetings, Budapest beat Strike 4 out of 6 games, so it gets the 2nd seed.

Experts League

Bottom Feeder - Pecos is seeded 6th over San Diego because they won the season series 8-4

Federal League

Gore Cup - Columbus gets the 2nd seed with a 6-0 season sweep of Okefenokee

Bottom Feeder - Boardwalk is seeded 3rd over Obama with a better head-to-head record: 4-2

Bottom Feeder - Starbucks won the season series 5-1, so they get the 6th seed over Lost

Fenway Fenatics

Gore Cup - Georgia and Werewolves split the season series. Werewolves had the better division record (27-27 vs 25-29) and gets the #1 seed.

Gore Cup - Centauri is seeded 3rd over Columbus with a better head-to-head record: 6-0

Bottom Feeder - Windsor is seeded 3rd over St. Louis with a better head-to-head record: 4-2

Firemen League

League Championship - If Mammoth and Axacan meet in the finals, Mammoth will get home field advantage, since they won the season head-to-head matchups 4-2.

Gore Cup - Just the Facts is seeded 2nd over Cincinnati because they won the season series 4-2

Bottom Feeder - Banta Inn is seeded 6th over Hanoi with a better head-to-head record: 4-2

Geek Pride League

Bottom Feeder - Pascal is seeded 1st over Potomac due to their 8-4 advantage in the season series

Bottom Feeder - There's a three-way tie for teams with 70 wins. Swingset has the best division record and is seeded 3rd (25-29 vs. 24-30 for Revenge and 23-31 for All American). Since Revenge and All American tied 3-3 in their season series, the better division record gives Revenge the 4th seed.

Golden Throat League

Gore Cup - Conspiracy is the #1 seed with a better head-to-head record, 8-4, over Fabulous

Bottom Feeder - Lincoln is the 4th seed over Team based on the better division record (26-28 vs 18-36). They split their head-to-head series 6-6

Longball League

Bottom Feeder - WC gets the 2nd seed over Uptown based on the better division record (24-30 vs 23-31). They split their head-to-head schedule 6-6

Bottom Feeder - Baltimore is seeded 4th over Southern California because they won the season series 4-2

Minnie & Paul League

Gore Cup - Twin Cities is the top seed over College Park with a better head-to-head record: 10-2

Murderers' Row

Bottom Feeder - Chicago is the 3rd seed over Paducah based on the better division record (26-28 vs 19-35). They split their head-to-head series 3-3

Bottom Feeder - France 2016 is seeded 5th over Jersey because they won the season series 4-2

Pacific Northwest League

League Championship - If Kingston and Bluff Creek meet in the finals, Kingston will get home field advantage. They split their season series 3-3, and Kingston had the better division record (36-18 vs 33-21)

Perfect World

Bottom Feeder - Cincinnati is seeded 1st over Panem because they won the season series 4-2

Phightin' Phils League

Carlton Conference Finals - Phillie won the season series 7-5 over Hannibal, so they get home field advantage.

Bottom Feeder - Upper Dublin is seeded 4th over Camden with a better head-to-head record: 8-4

Redbirds League

Bottom Feeder - Hello Wisconsin gets the top seed over Pittsburgh based on the better division record (27-27 vs 18-36). They split their head-to-head tilts 3-3

Shadowball League

League Championship - If Jersey City and Tombstone meet in the finals, Tombstone will get home field advantage on the strength of their 4-2 edge in the season series.

Gore Cup - There's a three-way tie for teams with 77 wins. Stockholm and Springfield both have 31-23 division records and Free Market at 28-26 drops out to be seeded 4th. In head-to-head meetings, Stockholm and Springfield split 3-3...they have the same division record, and with the better conference record (59-43 vs 53-49), Springfield gets the 2nd seed.

Bottom Feeder - Bedrock is seeded 2nd over Thermonuclear because they won the season series 10-8

Superman League

Gore Cup - Hometown is the 3rd seed over Bellvue Hospital with a better head-to-head record: 9-3

Bottom Feeder - Cincinnati is seeded 7th over Machu Picchu due to their 4-2 advantage in the season series

The Kings of Queens

Bottom Feeder - Six Pack is seeded 3rd over Detroit with a better head-to-head record: 4-2

Bottom Feeder - California gets the 6th seed over Cincinnati because they won the season series 4-2

They Might Be Giants League

League Championship - If Edgewater and Istanbul meet in the finals, Edgewater will get home field advantage. They split their season series 3-3, and Edgewater had the better division record (33-21 vs 30-24)

Three of a Kind League

League Championship - If Kansas City and Hudson River meet in the finals, Kansas City will get home field advantage, since they won the season series 4-2.

Bottom Feeder - Detroit is seeded 2nd over Sochi Russia 2014 due to their 4-2 advantage in the season series

Bottom Feeder - Cincinnati gets the 6th seed over San Francisco on the basis of them winning the season series 7-5

Triple Crown League

Bottom Feeder - Jumpin Jack is the 3rd seed over Little Mack based on the better division record (29-25 vs 21-33). They split their head-to-head series 3-3

Bottom Feeder - World War is seeded 5th over Roswell because they won the season series 4-2
