Benchwarmer Baseball Rules
Introduction
Benchwarmer Baseball is a fantasy simulation of major league
baseball season. Owners select teams of players from major league
baseball and compete against each other in a full season of 150
games. This is not Rotisserie Baseball, in which stats are kept in
key categories such as home runs and strikeouts and teams are simply
ranked against each other. Each game of the season is a mathematical
calculation of the number of runs "scored" by each team. It is based
upon actual performances. While home run hitters and strikeout kings
are still important, so are the spray hitters and long relievers and
the slick-fielding shortstops. Since the starters will sit from
time-to-time, owners must have reliable backups and players who are
versatile fill an important role.
